MiniSoundReader 2.1 - Choose the "Set rate" menu item from the "Special" menu and choose the desired rate. If you want to set the new rate JUST for the next sound press the first button. If you wish to set it for all sounds that you will play from now on, press the second button. Otherwise you can cancel any rate modifications by pressing the third button. Tthe sound's rate appears at the bottom of the main window and
if you are too quick on selecting sounds, MiniSoundReader will wait for a while, until the playing sound channel is free. Don't open the AIFF file using "Open" since no sound will be listed. Use instead, the popupmenu item "Play AIFF..." and you will be prompted
with an open dialog. Select the file, and the sound will immediately start playing.
